Liberated People Announces the #OurSonTrayvon Campaign

5,000 Hoodies For $50,000 For
The Trayvon Martin Foundation

February 26th 2017, on the 5th anniversary of the death of Trayvon Martin and the birth of the Movement for Black Lives

Liberated People launched the #OurSonTrayvon hoodie campaign.

The day began with #BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors on her front porch and ended with Oscar nominated director Ava Duvernay on the edge of the red carpet holding up an “Our Son Trayvon” hoodie. They were joined by Tracee Ellis Ross, Kerry Washington, Issa Rae, Dwayne Wade, Alan Cummings and more celebrities and influencers  Trayvon Martin was remembered, respected and Liberated People was able to donate $4.5k dollars to The Trayvon Martin Foundation from the sale of the #OurSonTrayvon hoodies. The vision of the campaign is to promote the humanity and boyhood of our Black sons through the symbol of Trayvon and his hoodie. By wearing the hoodie we make Trayvon visible, and by extension we make Black boys visible, as boys as our precious sons

Our goal is to build a village of 5000 strong Trayvons’.

5,000 hoodies would also represent $50,000 for The Trayvon Martin Foundation. Build with Liberated People, for all our sons.
