Liberated People is partnering with Care for the Homeless in NYC this year!

LIBERATED PEOPLE Founder, Gbenga Akinnagbe, is being honored at this year's Care for the Homeless gala at the Edison Ballroom on April 24, 2014. Care for the Homeless is the only health care organization in NYC dedicated exclusively to serving homeless men, women and children of all ages. LIBERATED PEOPLE applauds the work this phenomenal organization is doing and we will continue to support all of our children, women and men struggling with homelessness.

With over 50,000 people experiencing homelessness in New York City every night (a 22% increase in child homelessness since last year), the need for Care for the Homeless is greater than ever. 100% of the proceeds from this year’s Gala will provide critical programs like medical, dental and mental health care, transitional housing and human services for homeless New Yorkers. With the funds Care for the Homeless raises this year, we’re expanding—adding two new dental clinics for homeless adults and children and a new mobile health clinic that will travel to reach the most vulnerable in NYC.
